Beware Smithton Tasmania

I act for clients (based in WA) who were induced by a financial planning firm to buy a house and land package for a house to be built in a small country town in Tasmania called Smithton.  The houses were built by a company that was part of the same group of companies as the financial planning firm.  They were built on land that was part of one subdivision.

I suspect that there must be a number of people who have been induced to enter into this type of arrangement.  I would be very interested to hear from anyone else who has done so.
